Dog Breeds And Their Characteristics

Dog breeds are nothing but the groups of closely related dogs, which can look similar as well, and these groups of dogs are said to be selected and maintained by the human beings, bred from a recognized foundation stock. The dog breed term is also referred to as natural breeds by many people, as it is very commonly used by the humans. The humans allow the dogs to undergo a selective breeding on certain occasions. These dog breeds are not said to be classified based on any study or proof, instead they are said to be classified and maintained by various clubs that maintain the business of breeding. These breeding clubs are called as natural breeds. A dog breed is represented by a group of individuals which are said to be having specific characters and behaviors over generations and it has a dog breed selector as well.

This is quite common and natural as dogs of the same breed have almost the similar traits or attributes and they even have the similar behavior. This is because the ancestors might also have come from the same group and might have the same characteristics as well, with the legacy continuing on and on. Dogs of the same group, or to be more precise, dogs of the specific breed, produce the offspring’s having more resemblance and similarities to the parents, so choosing a dog breed is important. An individual dog is said to be a member of any breed or group of dogs, if and only if it has the same ancestry attributes, which can be found out medically. This can be done by the genetic experiments and tests done in the laboratories specifically for this purpose. Without any kind of such proofs, a dog cannot be indentified and declared to be under any kind of breeds or groups. These records are maintained by the clubs as it will be useful for their reference, and these are called stud books.
